By Jeremy D. Joy “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created” (Revelation 4:11).
The divine characteristic of glory is synonymous with God and there is no glory that compares with the ultimate glory of God. How can mere mortals comprehend the glory of God? The most common use of glory refers to the divine presence of God manifested in a number of ways including the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire that led Israel through the wilderness as well as the presence of God in the Temple. Jesus provided the most complete image of the glory of God, which the disciples witnessed firsthand. We have the promise of the hope of glory that involves experiencing the divine presence in our glorious resurrection bodies (Colossians 1:27). It should motivate us to moral and spiritual purity. Glorify thy name in all the earth!
